The island is small making it easy to explore almost every part. About twelve kilometres long and four kilometres wide— a practised walker could explore virtually the whole island by foot. There are walks through flower filled olive groves and stunning Ionian scenery to explore.

Paxos is criss-crossed by tracks and paths that not so long ago were used by most locals to get around. Today, walkers can take advantage of these ready-made routes and explore the island’s beautiful countryside on foot. Most of these routes are not signed, so you need a guide to help you find your way.
Our team has worked many years of the field to reveal old forgotten paths, clear the existing ones and open new ones. We have recorded all of these routes on a digital map together with all points of interest like churches, windmills, cisterns, old buildings, lighthouses
